This Droll Yankees squirrel proof feeder is functional and easy to refill. It seems to keep seed drier than most tube feeders. It has a large capacity for seed. The curved perches are good for Cardinals and many other bird species. It is very well built and durable. All four perches are individually sprung. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

WHAT CUSTOMER'S DIDN'T LIKE:
One customer stated that some squirrels can slide past the perches and feeding holes then put their paws into the feeder holes and access the seed. Not for birds heavier than a cardinal. A bit pricey.

The feeding port base is removeable which makes it easy to clean. It has a large capacity for seed and it is easy to refill. Perches collapse under the weight of a squirrel if it stands on them. The Droll Yankees Flipper squirrel proof feeder is well made and has a sturdy design. It has a very large capacity for seed. It can be very entertaining watching squirrels get flipped off when they activate the motor. Internal battery lasts a long time under normal weather conditions. There is no assembly required. The motor and rechargeable battery are guaranteed for one year. The body of the feeder is guaranteed for life against any squirrel damage. It is made of durable long lasting plastic with a tight fitting metal cap that cannot be pried off by squirrels.

WHAT CUSTOMER'S DIDN'T LIKE:
Some customers said that smaller squirrels and chipmunks are not heavy enough to activate the motor. The battery life can be shorter in extreme heat or cold weather conditions. A few customers commented that seed can fall out on to the ground more than expected. Some customers said that seed can sometimes clump and get stuck in feeder ports. This feeder is a bit expensive compared to other feeders.

RESULTS:
This squirrel proof bird feeder has great features and can be very entertaining. It works quite well as advertised, has a very large capacity for seed, and it is very well constructed. The only drawback with the Droll Yankees YF Flipper would be the fact that the battery and charger may have to be replaced at some point and there is only a one year warranty to cover both. The Droll Yankees Juganda feeder tray acts as a baffle to prevent squirrels from climbing up pole to access the seed and the fifteen inch wide cover protects the birds and also protects the seed from getting wet. Customers commented that squirrels cannot climb up past the feeder/baffle to access the feeding station. This squirrel proof bird feeder seems to be well designed and the fact that it includes the pole and auger plus an attachment for a second feeder is a good indication of why it got good reviews. This is a great feeder for all species of small songbirds. Squirrels and larger birds cannot gain access to the seed tube through the wire barrier. This bird feeder is very easy to disassemble to fill and clean. The plastic cover protects the feeder from the elements and in turn will keep the seed dry. This will also stop the seed from becoming moldy which can make birds sick.
